The New Jewish Theatre

About Us

The JCC’s New Jewish Theatre was an outgrowth of the long history of theatre programming of the Jewish Community Center.  In 1997, the need was recognized to develop a professional theatre program with programming that reflected the Jewish experience.  Since its inception, the theatre has continued to grow at an outstanding rate, both in size and in quality.

Beginning with a season of only three productions of eight performances each into the current season’s five productions of 15 performances each, the theatre has continued to attract a very large and loyal audience base.

The theatre is currently located at Clayton High School while the JCC is undergoing an extensive renovation that will include a new state-of-the-art Black Box Studio Theatre. Ticket information: 314-442-3283
